Hi All, welcome back.
It must be the sunny days (well occasionally) but I feel like bright colours
and bold shapes this week.
So that's what you are getting tonight.
Follow the link HERE to see how.
Bye for now, P.

A Bit of Stick.........
Hello blog friends,
Tonight is the first of this month's three posts for PaperArtsy by yours truly.
They all involve a bit of fabric painting and an occasional stitch or two.
I didn't realise when I applied to be on the design team that you have to be
quite self disciplined in meeting deadlines and following briefs (the design kind
not the underpants kind).
On the plus side though............it's fun and satisfying! It's nice to think that there
might be people out there (real or imaginary) who are interested in what you do. So thank
you PaperArtsy for introducing me to the world of the blog.
Here is a small hint for tonight.....
It started with a stick.
Look HERE for more.
Until tomorrow........

A little bit of collage fun....
Hello there,
Today I have had a little bit of collage fun. To support my crafting habit
I have a part time job in a bookshop (books being my other passion!). We also
sell art materials (am I there to earn or SPEND?). A couple of days ago we added
a selection of scrapbooking products to our stock...... well it would have been
rude not to try them out. I don't do scrapbooking but I love collage so here is my
take on these lovely papers.
For this I chose the October Afternoon Farmhouse range (note the clever literary
reference) and the face stamp is by Pam Carriker. The base is a box canvas painted
and stencilled with Fresco Finish Acrylics.
Love the colours!
Bye for now. P.

Not resting on my laurels!
Hello All,
Well after the excitement of my first design team blogs (many thanks for all
kind comments) I now have to deal with the horror of deadlines...aaarrrrghhh.
Time just flies!
But today I thought I would take some time for a small CMC project.
So here is......Steam Punk Rock (get it?)
When I make things I tend to just start with an idea in my head, without much
planning, and see what grows. Confession....when doing my City and Guilds course
I always made the final product first and did the sketchbook work afterwards.
This rock started like this
with some black gesso. I applied stencilled tissue paper using gloss gel medium
and toned it down a bit with a rub of Treasure Gold
very good.
Then I covered it all up!
Ah well........
All the stamps are from PaperArtsy.
Bye for now..back to the deadlines.
