Rock Goddess.........

Good evening all,

As promised I have managed a quick project before I go on holiday.....

Well actually it wasn't very quick, I don't work quickly, creativity takes

it's own time.

This rock thing that I have going on at the moment is great! I have an

endless supply on the beach nearby and I find myself picking them up and

seeing possibilities. So brace yourself, there will be more!

How about "Rock Goddess"

Actually in this case two rocks.

I love these colours. ( Fresco Finish Acrylics Blush, Antarctic and Rose, with a bit

of London Bus. The figure stamp is by Pam Carriker.)

A word about photographs. I am no photographer (surprise) and am hopeless with

computers. I take the photographs with my I-Pad and they go through a cloud (no

idea!) and straight into my computer :0.

I spend AGES wandering round the house, project in hand, trying to find good

light. All the photos for this blog were taken at the same time of day in the same

room but in different places. See the difference.......

Thank goodness for these light evenings.

Back in a couple of weeks.

Great Minds.......

Welcome back for day 3.

You have no doubt heard of parallel evolution......well sometimes

you get parallel inspiration! It happens.

Tonight you get my way-out (do people say that these days?) version of

a little "light" relief.

Some good transferable techniques there though so do take a look.

Follow the link HERE.

That's my lot for this week on PA (next month something completely different ) but I will

try to get a small CMC project in before I go on holiday.

Bye for now. P.

Pillow Talk.....

Hi All,  welcome back.

It must be the sunny days (well occasionally) but I feel like bright colours

and bold shapes this week.

So that's what you are getting tonight.

Follow the link HERE to see how.

Bye for now, P.

A Bit of Stick.........

Hello blog friends,

Tonight is the first of this month's three posts for PaperArtsy by yours truly.

They all involve a bit of fabric painting and an occasional stitch or two.

I didn't realise when I applied to be on the design team that you have to be

quite self disciplined in meeting deadlines and following briefs (the design kind

not the underpants kind).

On the plus side though............it's fun and satisfying! It's nice to think that there

might be people out there (real or imaginary) who are interested in what you do. So thank

you PaperArtsy for introducing me to the world of the blog.

Here is a small hint for tonight.....

It started with a stick.

Look HERE for more.

Until tomorrow........

A little bit of collage fun....

Hello there,

Today I have had a little bit of collage fun. To support my crafting habit

I have a part time job in a bookshop (books being my other passion!). We also

sell art materials (am I there to earn or SPEND?). A couple of days ago we added

a selection of scrapbooking products to our stock...... well it would have been

rude not to try them out. I don't do scrapbooking but I love collage so here is my

take on these lovely papers.

For this I chose the October Afternoon Farmhouse range (note the clever literary

reference) and the face stamp is by Pam Carriker. The base is a box canvas painted

and stencilled with Fresco Finish Acrylics.

Love the colours!

Bye for now. P.
